The Costi\u00e8res de N\u00eemes\u2019 vineyard spreads from the north of the Gardon Valley to the Little Camargue south west on 40 km. Fifteen km wide along the garrigues and Rhone lowland.<\/p>\n

The terroir is composed of gravel and pebble. The vines are deep in the soil, reaching the clay layer to gather the water even in case of heatwave. Its draining soils ensure a quick water evacuation during rainy periods.<\/p>\n

The vineyard benefits from a Mediterranean climate, with fresh marine influences. This appellation represents most of our wine range at Pazac.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The PGI is an European label and has replaced the “Vin de Pays” appellation since December 2011. This label ensures the quality of a wine produced in a specific and defined area.<\/p>\n

From the Mediterranean sea to the Ard\u00e8che, the Pont du Gard PGI is the link between Languedoc and Provence, gathering 19 municipalities. Indeed, situated in the South of France and named after the famous Roman aqueduc the “Pont du Gard.”<\/p>\n

A dry and sunny Mediterranean climate dominated by the Mistral in Summer and heavy rains in Fall. These calcareous soils are from white to ochre and produces rich and powerful wines. A blend of complexity and \u00a0richness.<\/p>\n

The main grape varieties are – \u00a0Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan, Sauvignon, Roussanne, Marsanne, Mourv\u00e8dre, \u00a0Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The Rhone Valley vineyard spreads from Vienne to the Costi\u00e8res de N\u00eemes appellation. Its wines are generous, refined and spicy.<\/p>\n

Composed of a gravel soil, which offers to the vine both some water and heat gathered during warm days. Its sandy soils are more incline to white, ros\u00e9 and light red.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

Syrah<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>

The Grape variety Syrah needs rich soils in trace elements due to its sensitiveness to disease and drought. Medium berries with a beautiful bluish black colour full of a sweet and spicy juice. The red wines are robust, not very acid and with a high alcohol level \u2013 a deep colour and structured tannins for fruity, spicy and floral aromas.
\nThe ros\u00e9s are full of fruit and finesse.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Grenache noir<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>

Same family as the Grenache blanc. Planted on dry and stony soils, the Grenache noir produces many sweet and juicy berries. Single or blended with Mourv\u00e8dre, Syrah or Carignan it produces the best Southern red and ros\u00e9. The wines are a bit acid, strong in alcohol, which reveal black fruits aromas underlined by hints of cocoa, coffee and spices.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Merlot<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>

Merlot is a red grape with small berries, which appeared at the end of the 18th century. A dark and deep colour with unique red and black fruits aromas, which will evolve during the ageing process to hints of prune, spices and underwood, highlighted by supple and distinguished tannins.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Grenache blanc<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>

Grenache blanc is a medieval Spanish grape, used to drought and planted in dry gravels or pebbles. Juicy and sweet medium-sized berries, which produce opulent and low acid white wines. Thus, this softness makes round and long-lasting white wines.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Roussanne<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>

Roussanne or so-called Fromenteau, Barbin or Bergeron, is a noble and powerful grape variety native to Mont\u00e9limar, which grows very well on calcareous, lean and stony soil.This variety has rather small berries that turn red when ripen.The wine from pure Roussanne is extraordinary, with coffee, honeysuckle, iris and Peony aromas.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Viognier<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>

An ancient grape, which produces an excellent quality and refined wine. Very fragrant, the Viognier is extraordinarily round, supple, creamy, with a very wide aromatic palette: honeysuckle, lime, apricot, wax, woody, quince, hawthorn flower, almond blossom, spices, dried fruit, gingerbread, mangoes, tobacco, honey, mineral, violet and linden.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Chardonnay<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>

Chardonnay, the spearhead grape variety of Burgundy, which produces quality wines with a long-lasting cellar potential.Its golden grape gives fine white wines with citrus, dried fruit and brioche aromas.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Vermentino<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>

Vermentino or so-called Rolle was widespread in Italy, Sardinia and Corsica. Nowadays it has spread out in other Mediterranean regions.The Vermentino requires a warm climate and a good sun exposition.
\nWhen vinified alone, the Vermentino gives a dry white wine, both light and oily with pale yellow color. It can be used in combination with other grape varieties, in particular with the Uni blanc, Cinsault and Grenache.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Cinsault<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>

Cinsault is an old black grape with white juice, widely used in Languedoc and the Rh\u00f4ne Valley. This late grape variety has large juicy berries, which needs good sun exposition and is very resistant to drought. Quite productive, it favors poor soils, but is fragile in the face of diseases.The wines are easy to drink, very little acid, low in color and alcohol, with aromas of red raspberry fruits, dried fruits and white flowers.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Mourv\u00e8dre<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>

Mourv\u00e8dre is a Spanish grape variety that arrived in France in the 16th century that requires a clay-limestone soil, regularly irrigated but in a limited extent; The Mourv\u00e8dre grows best when enough sunshine, a mild-climate is favorable.It can be blended with other grape varieties such as Carignan, Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault to add complexity.The wine produced is rich, low in acidity and has a quality tannic structure.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Caladoc<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>

This grape variety comes from a crossbreeding between Grenache noir and Malbec, obtained in 1958.The berries are medium, irregular, and slightly elliptical, with thick skin and a beautiful abundant bloom. Could look like Grenache noir.The Caladoc gives a very full-bodied and distinctive wine, round, warm, with an intense colour and a very interesting tannic structure. the tannins are both supple and without bitterness.The ideal grape for ros\u00e9 production, which gives fruity and balanced wines of spices, raspberry, ripe fruit and floral aromas.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Marselan<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>

Marselan is a crossbreeding between Cabernet-Sauvignon and Grenache noir, obtained in 1961. The berries are small, spherical or elliptical, with a purplish black colour. It has a low juice yield. The Marselan reveals a complex, aromatic wine, with a deep ruby \u200b\u200bcolour. The tannins are supple and harmonious. The wines are well-balanced with cocoa, blackcurrant, liquorice, jam, leather, spices, raspberries, white flowers, ripe and jammy fruits aromas. Good cellaring potential. Can be vinify alone or blended.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Carignan<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>

Carignan is originally from Spain. Its spherical bluish black berries can also be grey or white.This grape appreciates unfertile and sunny dry grounds. The vine of Carignan can live beyond a 100 years. Those who are over 30 years old produce better wine.This wine is colourful, generous and powerful at the same time. Its aromatic palette is made up of a multitude of possibilities: Pepper, cherry, blackberry, banana, raspberry, almond, prune and violet<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
